I thought Roberts Cycles in Chicago was the Holdsworth importer.

Holdsworth PRo's have fetched stupid high prices of late - but this one is the budget minded enthusiasts dream (or the clean bike fans nightmare). This frame is 54cm c-t with 56cc top tube. It is a holdsworth pro in orange, but rather than carrying holdsworth decals it has Hill Cycles decals. As I understand it, Hill Cycle was the holdsworth importer, they had a team, and they raced these holdsworth pro's labeled with the shop decals. There is no headbadge either but an H. But the wraparound stays (with pinstripping) and the fork leave no doubt as to what the frame is. And the orange paint is just like the typical Holdsworth pros along with the blue pannels (where it says Hill cycles). Now - this frame is in rough condition. Paint is horrid, and there is some rust, but I think that it will be OK on repaint. Or, one could do heroic touch-up and have something that looks cool and terribly beat, but still kinda cool. No photos - just think ugly and rust but holdsworth cool.... Price is $175 plus shipping. So if your wanting a classic holdsworth (with a name twist, but want to see that orange and chrome love) than here is your budget chance. Any less and I'll make it into an evil city cruiser machine and keep it for myself. And - I do guarantee that my description is accurate. And if you buy it and it turns out that I'm wrong and there is something structural wrong with it, I don't believe in anybody getting stuck with something that is no good. So I'll take it back and we each pay shipping one way. Life is too short to have bad Karma - its gotta be fun! Oh - shipping only in the US on this - I want nothing more difficult that driving to FedX. Mike Kone in Boulder CO
