Subject: [CR]Gear cable market high?

I just noticed the result of this E-bay auction:

150050054334

In which two people each paid over $50 for a pair of vintage Campy gear cables. I realize that there are rare cables out there that people will pay a lot of money for, but what of these? For whatever reason, I have amassed a small pile of these without really even intending to. I think I bought 10 rears for $20 not long ago. Unlike the heavy (1.8mm) brake cables, which are getting hard to find, these seem pretty readily available. On the otherhand, I don't recall seeing many set on Ebay.

So, is this bidding just a typical E-bay fluke, or are these cable actually getting hard to find, or is there something special about these that I'm missing?

Oh, and if anyone wants pairs of these for $50, let me know.
