Hi all,
So, having not long ago purchased a long desired De Rosa <http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/David-G-Whites-Bikes/1982+De+Rosa/>, I've gone and done it again. (Does anyone know of a twelve step program for vintage bike addiction?).
See, the trouble is the first one was said to be 65 cm, which is the perfect size for me center to center (I'm on the tall side). I figured even if it was 65 cm center to top, I could live with it. But it turned out to be 64 cm center to top and only 62 cm center to center which is just over the line too small.... I told myself I'd re-build it anyway and try it and see how it went, but surreptitiously I began watching for a larger one...
And, unexpectedly, along it came. A bike said to be 64 cm center to
center. So I just bought it. See here:

Trouble is, I don't know its vintage. So I need dating help -- well, I admit being a bit of an awkward fellow, I always could have used dating help (how I ended up with such a wonderful wife as Sally, I'll never know), but that's not what I'm talking about. Can any of you tell when this bike was made, so I have some idea of appropriate equipment for its rebuild?
Thanks!
David
