I'm adding to this one a little late, but I have to say that I can see why someone would ask what the torque spec is for the Campy locknuts. In my experience they come from the factory so absurdly tight that you risk ruining your cone wrenches just to break them loose.

It's especially odd that they are set this way given that the hubs always need adjustment after the wheel is built up. The cones are usually set so they are bit tight when the hub is in the box. Once built up, there is apparently some movement (spoke tension causes columnar compression of the alloy shell, bringing the cups slightly closer to one another?) that eliminates the bearing drag, and the hub runs smooth but without play. This is fine for the final truing because there is slop, but before you put the wheel into use you need to back the cones off so there is a little play, which is then eliminated by the compression of the QR. So, the cones-too-tight adjustment from the factory has it's purpose (which I like to think is intentional) but why do they lock it is so solidly if (as I assume) they know you'll need to finalize the adjustment before using the product?
