This would appear to be the bicycling equivalent of a Purdy shotgun, or at least on the right track. And PuLEAAAAAASE, don't anyone complain about it being too ornate. This thing should be in a museum of great 20th Century art. Quoth the seller:

"The frame was made in England in 1964 and equipped with Cinelli interchangeable hubs, Campagnolo seat post, headset, and down tube shifters, Simplex front and rear derailleurs, TA spindle, crank arms and three chain rings (itÂ’s a 15 speed), Mafac Top 63 center pull brakes and leavers, Brooks big copper rivet leather seat, and beautiful Cheater Lea pedals. Tubular tires on Mavic rims with stainless steel spokes. All of the components are period and original when the frame was built.

"This bike has immaculate original paint and chrome work with highly polished aluminum and everything has just been rebuilt.

"The serial number on the frame is 4040."

And if this were a fake, I'd want the forger to build me two!
