I show in the Used Bike Buyers Guide the Pinarello Gavia was made with TSX from 90-93. The issue of whether a production frame after 1983 is on or off topic is always a difficult one for the list. I believe we have recognized lugged steel DeRosa frames post-83 as on-topic, for example, but some of the other high volume Italian makes as off-topic. It's Dale's call of course, just hard to figure out which ones pass the "keeper-of-the-flame" test when they are made in a factory. I believe it is easy when the builder is known to actually build, such as Pegoretti. I'm not so sure when the bikes are made in mass quantities, but still to the same design and standards set down by the founder. I really don't mind mention of the frames as long as they are quality lugged steel. Parts, such as C-Record and after, on the other hand, are clearly out of the timeline. That decal says FRX. Looks like a Pinarello specific decal. But I am pretty sure that this bike is outside of the CR timeline given the internal brake cable routing. I'd guess '88? '89?
