Not sure I can answer your questions, but.................

The one I have was on our tandem when we got it. It's purpose was to connect the child stoker cranks to the regular stoker cranks on the timing chain side. I'm not sure that was the best of all possible ways to solve the problem, and as we don't need a child stoker all that mess got pulled anyway. But if anybody needs one and would like to trade for something more useful there's one available.....................
