A subject dear to my heart is the reason why in the past twelve months or so I have been thinning out my collection and selling parts to genuine buyers. I'm now down to last four full bikes which I will never sell but continue to use on my thrice weekly rides until the day comes when I will be no longer to do manage. These more special marques are now left in trust to a ex.racing cyclist friend who intends to make collecting and restoring bikes his hobby at his retirement. There will be no payment or thought of profit in this agreement but to be left as a gift with the full knowledge my classics future will be assured and for another generation to share and enjoy.

The last thing I want to be involved in is when collection is sold off for vast sums of money. It is not my wish to use auctions which attract dealers and those with money in their pockets leaving the lesser off and genuine enthusiast with no chance of a purchase. To date I have been fortunate to pass on a few machines and parts without profit to people who I know will use them and cherish them as I have done for the last two decades or so!

In conclusion I hope my proposed effort to preserve and save my bikes for future generations is good idea and it all works to plan. If it does then I will have done my part " Saving Bikes for Future Generations".

Safe riding you folks!
