I have an idea of what to do with our bikes when that time comes. Most of us have many bikes and are also grateful to and for this list, so let us bequeath at least one of our bikes (whichever one we choose) to an individual CR member who it fits.
This Eternal Gift Program could work this way: Members in good standing (is there any other kind?) would submit one or more of their two-wheeled treasures to the CR EGP pool. These would then be matched to appropriate members (lots drawn if necessary). When that time comes, new owner would be responsible for taking possession and emails would serve as verbal contract.
One neat aspect of this program is that you could see/get a pic of the bike you may one day inherit. I have a couple of bikes I would gladly donate. If something should get fouled-up and it doesn't happen, no harm no foul.
