For me it comes down to the condition of the bike when I receive it. For example the Pogliaghi track bike I bought had already been resprayed a horrible green/yellow/green fade and sported no decals. I happily sent it off to Southwest Frameworks for respray and repop decals. I also had no qualms about the shop's decal being applied prominently, in fact I insisted on it. The RIH and Zieleman I bought from the Netherlands are a different story, both came with original paint in decent condition (with the requisite chips and scratches of 30 years of use) and original decals. Both of these old soldiers will get cleaned, lubed and waxed. Touch up paint will be applied sparingly to the Zieleman where needed.
