Subject: [CR]RE: CR jersey? (WOOL)

All,

A remake of the Classic Rendezvous wool jersey is definitely in order. Woolistic made the first production and we still have the graphics and probably still the embroidery programs on file somewhere. We can use the original design and change the colors to whatever we want. Or, we can design a new jersey, with Dale's blessing, of course. Woolistic apparel is made of 100% Merino wool from Australia and is easy-care machine washable.

I'm willing to take this project on, since I probably have the closest tie with Alex at Woolistic.

If I can get pre-orders from 50 people, Woolistic can make the jerseys. They will most likely be produced in the new factory in China. I know what some are thinking..."it has to be made in ITALY!!!" But the yarn comes from the same kitchen in Australia, and the machines are made in Japan. The only difference are the hands that do the finishing work. Alex is doing an amazing job at getting the production dialed in. I personally don't see any difference in the quality, and in some aspects, the quality is actually better out of China.

If you want to go the cookie-cutter, plain-jane route, then Portland Cyclewear is okay. But there is no creativity or uniqueness whatsoever in their designs. In my opinion, very boring. The CR jersey should stand apart from all the other lookalike custom jerseys out there.

Let me know what your thoughts are and I'll start a list of interested CR Wool Jersey wearers.

Can I get a show of hands of those who are interested and would like to be on the list for a 2007 Classic Rendezvous wool jersey?

We're talking about WOOL jerseys here. If you're not into wool, are allergic to it, or are against the shearing of sheep for clothing, please don't ask to make it in polyester. There are plenty of companies out there making those.
