Chuck Schmidt mentioned that the hexagonal EXA bars didn't catch on. While contemplating purchase of a set of these recently listed on eBay for a project, I did some archive research. Someone attempting to use these bars indicated great difficulty getting the brake levers to stay in position. Might be at least one reason they didn't catch on.
