The starting point for all these sorts of noises is to lubricate/grease every interface you can think of.

I went through some 6 months of trying to locate a creak on my OT Giant TCR Composite with Record 10 this year. I changed the bottom bracket, headset, greased everything I could think of. The noise would only happen when standing for hills or sprinting. The culprit was the front wheel skewer. You could have some movement at the axle nuts (assuming Campy nuts with the built in washers)for example. Start lubing and see if you can find it.

______________________________________________________________________ I'm asking for your experienced advice in order to trace and stop some annoying craking sounds, produce in my vintage track bike,

during aceleration , when I apply full power . I experience some of this sounds in the past with another bikes but they were very minor..... I 'm using a 3/32 " campagnolo chainring , aluminum handle-bar and pedals with the old school toe-clip system. Needless to say I already inspect the frame for any fisures or cracks

and every thing looks ok. Any sugestions about how to stop " the screamer...."? Thank you all
