My LeChampion 73-74 I'm not sure which, has original painted Silver rear stays and half chrome on the forks that is polished. Crown and most of the stem tube is chromed but not polished. I don't know how much of the rear is chromed if any,as I've never scrapped off the paint. 2 of my G.Records are the same and one was silver and the other black. another G.R was bought in white primer so I don't know about it. My black and my silver both had the french 531 decal that said forks,and stays as well as main tubes were re enforced.The fork had decals too that said 531 blades in french. All of these bikes were bought as 73-74-75 models and I've never bothered to track down seriel #s. All 3 G.R.s are identical in specs, diameters, lugs, and fork crowns. And one was swiss thread.
