Subject: [CR]Selle San Marco saddles

A few weeks ago, there was some discussion about putting together an order of 'classic' saddles from Selle San Marco, the makers of the Concor (1978 launch), Rolls (1982 launch?) and Regal (1983 launch?) saddles. As has been correctly pointed out, Selle San Marco requires a minimum order of 50 saddles for direct sales. I doubt that to reach such a quantity is possible, so I therefore discussed this situation with a few of my friends in Italy. I was able to find one framebuilder friend who would be willing to add any saddles that any CR listmember would want to his quarterly order, thereby negating the need for 50 saddles. If you therefore want to purchase a San Marco saddle let me know which model. He is planning to place the order in the coming days, so I would need to know shortly. All items in the online catalogue found at http://www.sellesanmarco.com , with the exception of the Magma MgC, should be available. They have told my friend that if there are requests for special leather finishes or colors, they will see what can be done, however without any promises. As for price, it should be substantially below US retail.
