Subject: [CR]Re Benelux derailleurs.

The Benelux derailleurs were available in two versions. One was marked 4 sp.-3/32" / 3 sp-1/8" and the other 5sp-3/32" / 4 sp-1/8'. The only difference between the two was a small thin sleeve on the shaft of the 3/4 sp version that would prevent the derailleur over shifting the inner or outer cog. Remove the sleeve and it will work on 5 speed. It does take some force on the lever to get it into top gear. That is why most Benelux levers you see are bent backwards. Mike Barry.
