Imagine that someone just gave you a 1965 cinelli SC and you want to take it out for a ride. However, the bike is totally NOS.

I'm sure this is just hypothetical, but one consideration would have to be whether your finances are willing to watch several thousands of dollars go beneath your tires as you turn that NOS bike into a "ridden" bike. Odds are that you will put marks on the parts as you attempt to keep them "NOS". If you plan to ride the bike anyway and not keep it for show or financial reasons, then why worry about changing out anything? You've made your decision that NOS isn't important to you the moment you decide to ride it. Of course, you could ride it a few miles, offer it to someone else to sell, and see how much it gets on ebay when it is advertised as NOS, never ridden. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
