It is accepted that 1960s pros would do pretty much anything to top up their modest salaries but I must say that I never heard the Simpson racing on a Moulton story. If the idea was to get publicity for the company it failed! As it rained all day today I got my cycling fix by re-watching the 1993 Tour of Flanders video tape. It was mentioned that Dag Otto Lauritzen of the Dutch TVM Team was riding a Kirk Precision magnesium frame. Perhaps not surprisingly he wasn't in the break so I didn't get to see his bike.
