Anywhere you find lightweight aircraft (or ultralights) you will find "line oil" being used inside tubular steel aircraft framing.

"Line oil" is used because of very high capillarity which will wick the oil around to coat all the inner tube surfaces to a greater extent than anything else I am aware of.
