I would love to see a list of American framebuilders that learned in Europe, who they learned from and when they were there. There are also some that learned from a European that came to the states. And some Europeans that came to the states. There are some that learned abroad but have different occupations today. Just off the top of my head:

Mike Melton - Japan - 1970 (I'm not sure of this or who he learned from) Richard Sachs - England - Peter Weigle - England - Matt Assenmacher - England - Bob Jackson - ( was '72 or '73?) Peter Mooney - England - Ron Cooper (76?) Doug Fattic - England - Ellis Briggs - 1975 (I'm sure of this one)

I'd love to see refinements and new contributions to this list.
