I looked a long time for a good 24.0mm 1-bolt post for my 1979 Peugeot UO8, but the former bikeswap.com came through with a Stronglight-stamped forged alloy one, new for about $20. I never saw another frame that used this size, but a 1981-82 model I found came with a 23.8mm JPR (French) post with an unusual 2-bolt rocker cradle. I was unable to sell that post on Ebay in two tries.
I can supply a photo of the (mounted) Stronglight post for the curious. Earlier UO8's came with a larger (25.4mm), and shimmed, seat tube cluster bore, and used a steel 22.0mm post under the AGDA leather saddle.
