FWIW, I have an early 80's budget Casati, which I measure at 75ยบ HA and 40mm offset; frame dimensions otherwise normal for a racing bike. I run 21mm sew-ups on normal wheels. It is a bit touchier than other on-topic and off-topic racing oriented bikes I have, but I adjust within minutes, and no-hands is fine, as is speedy cornering. I had it at Cirque a few years ago. An enjoyable bike to ride. This kind of front end has a nice balance out-of-the-saddle.
As Dale suggests, I would definitely suspect alignment problems with the PX-10. Unless you were accustomed to bikes only at the other end of the scale, it shouldn't be that hard to ride.
