Protar was the only source for good scale model bicycle kits when I started collecting them, however Walmart offered a series of assembled scale "modern" bicycles made by Maistro that were really nice with moving parts and cheap (about $4). There are several importers that sell small bicycle reproductions made from brass that are really detailed and also have moving parts. There were also several scale models made of ballon tire bikes like the Schwinn Phantom, these retailed for about $50, but the detailing was worth it. Hallmark sometimes issues a bike for their collectible Christmas ornament collections. My advice is to Google or search Ebay. I had sources for all of these many years ago, but they have since gone out of business or don't carry them anymore.
