I will take the plunge on this one but will probably be proved wrong. I
think 1974 is about the year you regularly saw Large Flange hubs
being used by the continental professionals. Sure this is about the
last time you could see them being used in any number and SF where
greater even then in the bunch. The last rider I can remember seeing on
large flange wheels was Joop Zoetemelk in 1979 when he rode for Miko
Mercier.
