Ben Lawee was Italvega (also Univega).

I think it's important to note that there are only four suits of cards to pick from, so somebody is going to get their toes stepped on.

As example when people see the spade cut out of the lug and all the rest of the parts on my Peter Johnson they always assume that Peter copied Mario Confente's spade cut out, but Peter was using the spade cut out before anyone had heard of Mario Confente here in the US.

And the Spade logo for Colner (Colnago linked) as well. The semi heart looking window is found on many bikes, including some Masis. How about the star logo for Guerciotti and Olmo, and perhaps others, like Malvern Star. I think I've seen some other European frames from much farther back that had diamond motifs, but alas, I tend to be Italian focused, and cannot remember where. And to mention it, I don't think I've seen pics of any Pogliaghis with diamonds, confirmed older than 1972 ... anyone got any, please? The Italvega diamonds began in 1973, so it seems clear that Pogliaghis had 'em first...
