Are there any categorical differences between early Record and '50 GS pedals? Did the Record supercede the old pattern GS or were they ever produced at the same time? I can of course see the shorter threaded portion and the O-ring in lieu of the rifled spindle and maybe a slightly different cage shape compared to Record in HS' pair on auction. Are some/all of these characteristics universal on early GS pedals?
