Alan, In London and the home counties we call them hack bikes. Tan Hill I remember them always had a fire burning in the great whatever time of the year. Ted Moult put those wretched Everest windows in it and advertised it on TV, remember the add? Now there is another mob that use the term bespoke window makers especially wooden replacement sash windows. Best wishes Joe. PS Hack bike is not be confused with work bike in these parts.
