Joe Gardin marketed Gardin frames out of Canada. Don't know if he really was a builder, or whether he sourced frames from others. I had a Gardin frame for a while, but never built it up. Ended up selling it at T-Town some years back, I believe. The one I had had decals/transfers (on the top tube, I believe) that indicated "Custom Built - Joe Gardin" or something like that. Don't remember what the BB threading was. Very basic but clean lugged construction. Solid red with white decals. I have also heard that Gardin may have either sourced Italian frames, or had an Italian in Canada build frames, but those recollections are pretty sketchy. I also believe he went on to start or be involved in Cambio Rhino and Rhino bicycles.

That's about all I can dredge up out of my weak memory at the moment.

The only Gardin I have ever heard of is a Canadian builder from Missassaga, Ontario I think. They had to close shop, one aspect of the story was that he was selling rims with fake Mavic stickers on them and got his pants sued off. Is there another Gardin? Or did he originally come from Italy? Forgive my noob questions.
