Bob; All information I passed onto the list with regard to this frame was given to me by the shop owner from which I purchased the frame, and as I'm a trusting soul, I took this information to be correct. You could have written "offlist" as to your thoughts on this frame, since as I was not aware, you worked at Eisentrauts in the 70s. Out of respect for your knowledge of this frame, I would gladly have corrected the information provided to the list members.

In the future If I sell an item to the list and you find my information needs correcting or editing, please have enough respect for me as a list member to make suggested corrrections offlist, and I will do so in a follow up to the list.

It is a "Limited" - the cheaper production frames made by Eisentraut Bicycles Inc. It is not a 1972 - the first Limiteds were made in 1975, I think. The fork is NOT the original, and the decals are wrong. Also, the head lugs were not chromed from the factory. How do I know all this??? I probably made the frame. For sale; A very nice 1972 Albert Eisentraut frame set, size 21&1/2" with a top tube, and seat tube measurements center to center. The seat tube is 27.2mm, rear spacing is 126mm and wheelbase is 39" measured CC on the front and rear dropouts. Top and down tube are gloss black, with white head tube panel, and seat tube. Head lugs are chromed with spade cut outs in the spearponts. Spade cutouts also appear in the seat lug. The fork and rear stays are silver enamel and appear to be clearcoated.

I purchased the bike frame a year ago, and have ridden it a bit this past summer, and found it a great rider. It is according to the prior owner in original enamel, which is all in very nice condition except for the head tube panel that was scratched in shipping. Repaint of the headtube should be a minor expense, maybe $50 and is reflected in my asking price of $750 or best offer.
