What's rude about the truth!! Peter has almost corrected the facts. The frame is a NOT an Eisentraut. It is a Limited. The Downtube decals are wrong. The Seat Tube sticker that was on the frame originally said Limited - Made by Eisentraut Bicycles Inc. Calling the frame an Eisentraut is wrong. I told Peter that if he was sold it as a 1972 Eisentraut with that decal - he should return the bike to the shop that sold it to him, because it was that shop that lied to him.
Calling a Limited an Eisentraut is like calling a Honda an Acura, because they are both made by the same company. I apologize if this sounds rude - I just thought that a group who is so interested in minutia would like to know the truth. Again I am not calling Peter a liar or deceitful - he was just relaying misinformation that he received - the liar is the shop that sold it to him - be pissed at them. I'm not saying that it is not a good bike - it probably is, just Not an Eisentraut. It is a Limited (made by Eisentraut Bicycles Inc.) with the wrong decals.
Regards, Bruce Gordon (Former Vice President of Eisentraut Bicycles Inc from 1974 to 1976)

Peter,
Does the frame come with a "Bruce Gordon was rude to me button?"
