I've followed the numbers on the bottom brackets to see if I could make any sense of them myself, and seeing different models from different years, the numbers dont seem to make linear sense. So I give up. Can anyone tell me what year mine is from the BB number is: A188-560. Its a Super Record Export. The bike was rescued at the last minuite from the scrapyard... Here is a link to it: http://static.flickr.com/67/183885254_92b1b4feac_o.jpg

Thanks !

I can only give you an estimate of age based on some of the features of your frame. It looks to have the NSR cast fork crown (offset road) which was introduced by 3Rensho in 1980 according to company literature. It also appears to have standard dropouts and forkends, not the Superends with sockets which were introduced in 1986. These features, combined with over-BB cable routing, indicates to me that your frame was made in the early 1980s, and is possibly on-topic by date, and certainly by heritage.

FWIW, if I had found that frame with those parts in that condition at the scrapyard, I'd seriously consider that it likely found its way to the scrapyard under very suspicious circumstances.
