I talked to Jim Merz last spring when he was thinking of making some 100 bcd campy rings. I loaned him my 100 bcd NOS ring but he waited 9 months and decided not to go forward.

Jim still has a few toothed blanks, I think they are 31T. These are chainring circles with the teeth already machined into them. There are no cutouts and no drill holes inside the circles. if some enterprising machinist on this list wants to call him and make an offer he might sell them off. You could make 31T rings in any vintage pattern from these.

Probably the hot setup ( I think ) is to contact the company or guy who makes ROCKET RINGS - if they are still in production - to see if they/he'll do the work or if he knows where to get blanks. You just need to cut the spider and drill them if you can get the blanks.

I see ROCKET RINGS is making/made campag nuovo record-pattern 144 bcd 1/8 rings ( or maybe these are NOS ) at wheelandsprocket ebay seller. How long has the NR-pattern been out of production ( SR, Sugino, Campag, Miche, other Italian makers?)

Wheelandsprocket is charging only $40/ring for NR-pattern track rings.

The finish looks mediocre but it probably matters little on an inner ring - it gets the job done.
