Thanks to those who replied off list.

I believe the derailleur boss threading to be 3/16 inch, can anybody confirm that a coarse threading is likely to be Whitworth?

Can anybody indicate what the British 'standard' braze on derailleur boss threading was in around 1961?

Thanks.

This particular frame features a brazed on derailleur boss (rear derailleur only) and I need information on the possible threading. Thread I imagine would be imperial of some sort, threads do not appear damaged.

It's definitely not the modern M5 metric and I did try the bolt from a circa mid '60's Cyclo shifter clamp that appears close to the diameter, but the thread itself is different.

Suggestions/ideas (Whitworth?), as to possible boss threading, so I can obtain some sample bolts to try for fit - will be used on a period Cyclo shifter.
