Rodney,

Just in case you didn't know; that is a real item. I own one. There is

plenty of humor included in that button, but VERY few people really

know what type of person Bruce really is. Bruce is passionate about

what he does (which is build touring bikes and road bikes) in the

handmade traditional fashion. Yes, he's also smart enough to have

other lines of bikes and products on the market; but his handmade

lugged frames are second to none and he's a master craftsman and

designer in the true sense of the words.

What most don't know about Bruce, is that he's also a funny guy with a

sense of humor, although seeming cynical to many at times, his

perspective on things is always on target. He's honest and

straightforward and he doesn't kiss butt or play politics. Some "can't

handle the truth" but Bruce still tells it to us. And that's as it

should be. There are far too many sugar coated silver tongued spin

meisters in every business. Bruce is NOT mean. He just likes to have

fun while being honest about how he feels and calling BS on some who

overdo the things that drive any sane person nuts. For sure

his "reputation" for being honest and straightforward is not

diplomatic most of the time, which most have interperted as rude or

whatever; but is in fact still the truth and always makes sense. What

Bruce may be a little short on is patience and tolerance for much of

the monkey business in our industry. My opinion is that

Bruce's "reputation" is not what he really deserves. He's as freindly,

knowlwdgable, and human as the rest of us. I would rethink your

opinion of Bruce Gordon big time if you are following the inflated and

exaggerated stories about what he's really like. Many people don't

give the benifit of the doubt nor the respect his opinions are due on

account of an impression one may have about a person they haven't met

nor ever even talked to. Case in point, some of the reactions to Bruce

enlightening the list regarding the Eisentraut Limited.

I rest my case.
