Hi John,

Your philosophy of first come first serve is something I generally agree with, however, as you may or may not know, the digest often comes out anywhere from 4 to 6 hours after any part is offered to the list for sale. So, those list members who are at work, are retired, or have the computer on tuned into the list, are usually the first to get to the parts offered. I have seen some parts sold in as little as 20 minutes. My only purpose in suggesting a reasonable hold period is to be REALLY fair to everyone. You wouldn't believe the off list mails I have gotten from irate list members. I think the greedy ones don't like my suggestion.
