Hi Ted,
This is EXACTLY my situation, I am thinking about using " thick CUP" on one side and use "thin" on the other side to line up chain line (because some spindle stick out too far on chain ring side), and I remeber using large WASHER to addition of B/B shell width if in case the cup did not go in.
Anyway, thanks Ted Bare, and you Ted Ernst, I am having FUN and PAIN of restoring Cinelli and Legnano, Italian enginerring (so artistic and there is NO number and figures, not like German). I just have to collect several more dozens of cups and spindle pieces to FIT and try!
