Thanks Norris but you really should be in awe of Jack Rossitier record, what a ride. He had a gammy hand as a result of First World War wounds. So a lot of his record rides were virtually done one-handed and that includes changing tubs or mending punctures. I'm a bit confused about the D.smith 1954 ride as I can't find any reference to a 240 ride? I have gleaned from your previous postings that you seem to know most of the top trade people and racers both on the continent and here in the UK what may I ask was Cyril like. That was some 1937 B.A.R. ride of his at an average of 22.348 and a comp record 12 of 251.62 on his Bates. Yeah your right they do put you and I to shame I only acheived 204 on a trike and missed my certificate by 12 miles and this was on a float day. My best on a solo was 212. I wouldn't worry to much about the proof reading the only one that concerns me now is the 40% on the single malt. Best wishes Joe.
