I don't play in the super-record arena (too rich for my blood), but I do set a floor on ebay prices for steel, chromed, used english campy headsets. I always bid $35 for a rust-free headset, and notice that many sell in the $50-$60 range (VG condition), with NOS ones selling in the $100-$150 range. I make a similar bid for 1980's gum hoods, and have never won a set.

I bid $10/piece for NOS steel headset pieces (except washers, i simply don't care if a washer is campy or not, that seems too petty imho ...)

Headsets are the one Campy part that probably wears and/or rusts the fastest. I have purchased a few NOS Tange Levin Professional NL500 chrome and NL1500 alloy headsets for the day when Campy headsets are gone entirely (thanx, Dale !! )
