For those of you that are not familiar with the Rauler brand, the name is made up of the first names of the two partners: RAUL Garza and ERnesto Colnago. Garza was in fact one of the subcontractors to Colnago and supplier of some of the more novel features in Colnago bikes. Rauler was also largely responsible for quite a bit of pantographing for Colnago. The shop survived until earlier this year before closing.
The bike for sale measures 52.5 cm C/C with a 54 cm C/C top tube. The bike is equipped as follows: a.. 1984 Columbus tubing frame and fork. There is a 'Rauler' spade cut-out in the BB shell, as well as Rauler pantographing on the fork crown, the seatstay caps, the rear brake bridgee and top of the BB shell. The windows in the lugs have been neatly infilled with yellow paint. The seatstay are nice double taper items. The front fork and rear dropout faces and right chainstay are chromed. The paint is in reasonably good shape with the normal signs of use b.. 3TTT bars with Rauler pantographed 3TTT stem (check out the pantographing in the photos as it is especially well-dome) c.. Campagnolo Super Record headset g.. neatly curved Campagnolo shift levers h.. Campagnolo Super Record front and rear derailleurs (1982 date code) i.. Campagnolo Super Record chainset (1982 date code) with Nuovo Record BB.
