Speaking of freewheels, does anyone recognize the brand Soleus? I recently bought an NOS copper-colored 14-28 5-speed FW on eBay for $1 plus shipping, as noone else bid. It is marked just "Soleus" and "Freewheel". I don't know if this is an old European brand or a recent Asian one. The "Freewheel" marking makes me think perhaps it is Asian, as I don't recall ever seeing such a marking on a European FW. But it spins nicely, the ratios are right for my old fart legs, and the price was certainly right.

Hi all.

Looking for a six speed italian threaded freewheel.

A friend's Tommassini has a freewheel that is clunking loudly and he is afraid it will fail. Wants to find a 13-24 or 13-26 italian threaded freewheel so he can keep this beautiful bike on the road. Early 80's bike that is used as a rider..

Any leads would be welcome.
