The other day I mentioned a KingSpeed track bike that was being auctioned here in Japan, along with the auction page photos. Appreciating the encouragement from listmembers for my desire to try and win the item, still one other guy drove the price out of my reach, and dare I bare my weaknesses, was to blame for the less than restful night's sleep as well. Low and behold, another one of a different vintage has popped up soon after, albeit not quite so pristine. and with a very cool Everest track being offered from the same seller, both workhorses from the sixties. Everest is not so lost in the annals of time, but I can find no information on these Kingspeeds, aside from seeing them at the auctions from time to time. Here are some photos that the seller has put up at a hosting site. I'd be very interested in any comments. The geometries are considerably long top tubes compared to the seat tubes. Is that a formula of the era? Check out the last photo of the Kingspeed fork crown. One need not be a Cupid to appreciate it I think. I hope that you can access the page with this address:
