Thanks all! Ted, Chris, John and others all had some valuable info. From the serial # it appears to be a 1938 model year Flyer. Does anyone know the difference between the "Professional Flyer" and the "Flyer"?
Also I may have misunderstood the date and model coding on the Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub. On Sheldon Wood's site it say's that the hub will have the model, in this case "AM" and sometimes the month and two digits for the year. The AM came out in 1936 and my hub has an 8 stamped on it, is it possible that it was for 1938, which is the year of the frame?
