Dear Anyone,
A few months ago my father asked me to give him a hand getting his old bike working again which we did with just a lot of cleaning, lubing and new tyres. Unfortunately the bike which he obtained 2nd hand in the late 50's was re-sprayed so the only obvious clue to its identity was the metal head-tube badge. The bike is a Norman cycles of Ashford Kent. I would love to find out more about this machine which seems to have many original (or perhaps just old) parts (sachs gears, wrights saddle and an odd cottered crank with 2 rings of almost the same size but no front mech or shifter). Does anyone have any pointers as to how I can find out what the model is and what tubing is used in the frame? From there I can presumably work out how much of the equipment is original...
Thanks,
