The crankset I currently use has a 4 tooth gap. It's just not worth shifting the chaninrings in this configuration. Does anyone have either a 44 tooth chainring, or a 52 tooth or larger chainring they would sell? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I'd respond with two notes: 1) I happen to have a shopworn NOS 52 that I could sell or trade. But, it's not Campy. No web at all, flat-bottom teeth. Don't know who I got it from, or when. 2) I don't know your riding style or topography, but I happen to really like 4-tooth gaps. Check out the gear chart with a 14-16-19-23-28, and look how even the jumps are, as percent changes. That's how we did our touring bikes back then. My Cinelli is set up this way, with a 44/48, because I'd rather do more shifting than ride it fewer places. And I don't find myself desperate for high gears any more.
But, your mileage may vary.
