Subject: [CR]fixed cup siezed

Warren,
Joe Bringheli,(www.bringheli.com) sells a tool for that, however you might want to get a threaded rod 1/2" or 5/8" by 6" 3 nuts and 2 washers and 2 lock washer, one washer small enough to fit on the inside flat of the cup and one that will be large enough to put pressure on and hold the fixed cup tool on the cup, put the rod with one nut a lock washer and another nut threaded and locked together about 11/2''down the rod, than slid the small washer on the rod and insert it into the BB shell, on the outside place the tool, the larger washer lock washer and than nut tighten down, than crank on the tool in the proper direction to release the threading, I'm not sure this will work but it's worth a try. one more thing, if the cup is steel before you ass'y the rod, smack the BB with hammer a couple of times, if need use a block of wood on the face, this might stretch the thread a bit and may losen the cup, I'd try this first than if need to go to the rod.
