For sale: one pair of the famous (infamous) Campagnolo Record large flange, 36 hole hubs that were double drilled by Schwinn in the early 1970s and used on the racing Paramounts. Rear spacing is currently 121.15mm, but that is easily adjusted with washer changes.
Rear is built up with DT double butted stainless spokes on a Fiamme Ergal silver tubular rim. Rear hub was completely cleaned and repacked about two years ago, but never put back into service. Rim (but not the hub) was polished at that same time, so not quite perfectly shining anymore, but still MUCH nicer than most, despite being used and showing light little use scratches here and there. NO rust or flaking, etc. Rear also comes with the original, and what I will call RARE, curved flat blade q/r skewer, also done by Schwinn. There is still Phil Wood grease on the freewheel threads from when I applied a Zeus 2000 aluminum beauty (not included), but then changed my mind and never used it. I'll wipe it off for shipping, but it won't be perfectly clean.
Front is the hub only, no skewer, and has not been serviced or polished since being in my possession. Great condition, and still spins nice enough, even without new grease. Appears to have been built only once, and the spoke marks are minimal. No rust, etc.
I am asking $130.00 for the rear wheel and front hub as a set, plus shipping costs of $20.
Photos can be taken, if necessary. Thanks!
