I have recently seen a mystery frame that I have a gut feeling might be a Tesch. I am familiar with the pics on WJG and on CR of the 101 model, but this one is different. The seat lug on this one is investment cast but the seatstays are not capped and brazed to the side like on the 101 but instead are compound mitered and go up the side of the seatlug to nearly the top. It looks "fastback" but it is on the side and it is really incredible looking.
It has no fork, but the current owner says that it had the remains of individual letters,"T" "E" "S" and he thought possibly "G" and "A". I am thinking that maybe those remains were "C" and "H".
If anyone is familiar with other Tesch bikes I would love to have some feedback if possible.
Thanks,
Victor Penner
