This must be one of the most important topics on this list, since it
reappears with ever more frequency. Below is my post from when the
subject was last flogged, which was just this past August. And it was
discussed extensively numerous times prior to that. But, hey. Who am
I to judge the value of regurgitation.

I believe we've flogged this topic in the past, but it's a very relevant
one for those of us involved in this pursuit. Nobody has chimed in on
these products yet, so I thought I'd plug them. LPS makes a broad range
of products (cleaners, degreasers, lubricants, penetrates, rust
inhibitors, etc.), probably a dozen or more degreasers alone, depending
on the requirement. I have been using LPS products, particularly their
degreasers, for many years. Their degreasers remain my favorites, and
there are several, depending on how aggressive you need them to be. I
have been using LPS Precision Clean and Contact Cleaner (for light duty
cleaning/degreasing - painted/more delicate surfaces), and Super
Degreaser and it's varieties (for more serious stuff), and haven't
really found anything better. Many products were developed for the
electronics industry, where I first started using them some 30(?) years
ago. I also still use their LPS1/2/3 lubricants extensively as well.
LPS products can be a bit pricy, but I think you get what you pay for.
LPS has a good web site that provides great details of the their various
offerings. With a little trial-and-error, you can dial-in the products
you need for specific tasks. I probably have at least six or eight
different LPS products in the shop at all times.
I guess that's my two cents. Check 'em out for yourselves:
