I agree - wire beaded tires only. I recently purchased just a cheap pair of Bontrager wire beaded tires 700x25c for my old Weinmann concave rims (which are also straight sided) that solved the problem of constant flats I was having with Kevlar beaded tires purchased on ebay.

Wire bead clincher tires, not too narrow, moderate pressure. Depending on tire design and width, you can usually go to 80-85 psi. Maybe 90 psi. More than that is usually risky. A Panaracer Pasela 28mm wire bead at 85 psi usually works for me on straight-side rims. 28mm is wide enough that 85 psi should be adequate.

Is there a tire(s) that works best with this type of "non-hook" rim? I searched the CR archives without success. (maybe I need help with that process!)
