Subject: [CR]Viking Tracker frame Question

Don Wilson asks:

Would someone tell me what the unusual frame design of the Viking Tracker was supposed to accomplish and if it accomplished it? Here is a link to one on the CR

web site?

You can view Vikings theory behind the design on a scan of the relevant page from a 1955 catalogue. Whether or not it was successful, or necessary, can be judged by the fact that very few of them were made, and whether or not buyers felt the extra cost was justified. You can see the page scan, and the pricelist, at http://ntlworld.photobox.co.uk/album/1571123 . It will be interesting to hear from anyone who has actually ridden one.
